Founded in 1997 by e.g. bailey, Trú Rúts Endeavors is a multidisciplinary artistic organization, developing innovative, cutting edge work and projects. It has presented two spoken word/hip hop theatre productions; released three spoken word/hip hop albums; developed the first exhibit of African visual artists in MN, with Intermedia Arts; facilitated a develomental workshop of a play in progress concerning the conflict in Ireland; co-presents the noted National Poetry Month spoken word radio series Words Will Heal the Wounds, with KFAI; is currently producing a 30-minute short narrative film, adapted from a short story by award-winning novelist Percival Everett; and has formed a partnership with the African American Men's Project to produce performances, radio spots and televison PSAs.
